How To Prevent and Solve "Not Responding Problem" in Windows For FireFox and Internet Explorer!

The "Not Responding" problem for Internet Explorer and other programs is a common problem for windows PCs.

I personally do not recommend Internet Explorer as there is NO FIX for the problem and it crashes even if you disable everything because of DEP and also it is NOT a very safe to use!

For FireFox, I had same problem and one way to avoid this happening is to turn off following from Firefox options (Press alt and T then from Tools menu go to options):

in Advance tab:

under general settings un check:

  • "use hardware acceleration when available"
under Data Choices settings un check:

  • "Telemetry"
  • "FireFox Health Report"
  • "Crash Reporter"
Under Network tab:

  • Go to connection "Settings" then choose No Proxy.

Also make sure that your plug ins and add-ons are up to date.

Consider running less programs at same time depending on your system specification. Reduce your start up programs as much as you can and make sure that your system is clean. Check your computer regularly for viruses, malware and spyware!

Also disc de-fragment and clean up can also help to prevent this problem in future.

For Internet Explorer consider running following Fix it tools:

OR reset your Internet Explorer Settings:
