Anti-Viruses

Now that you have your browser sorted, it is time to choose a good anti-virus program. There are many of them out there but how to choose?
Well, Here is what I think, The most popular anti-virus programs that I am sure everybody know about them are Norton and Mcafee, They offer fair paid protection but they tend to slow down your PC in start up and during usage. This is based on my experience. So if you want your PC run better then you have to think of alternatives.
There are lots of other paid anti-virus programs in the market that they can also offer their protections. But what I think is that Anti-virus program should be FREE. So let's discuss about FREE options.

They all offer basic protection for viruses and spywares but they do not offer cloud based virus detection and sand boxing.
For sand boxing and cloud based detection, I recommend Avast. Based on my experience Avast won't slow down your PC and it also offers Automatic updates which is GREAT! So it is highly recommended free anti-virus program.
Remember to uncheck the check box for Chrome browser, if do not want to install it when you are installing Avast!

another recommended antivirus program is Comodo Internet Security which is also FREE. It offers similar features. It offers lots of features such as sand boxing, great Firewall and cloud based detection etc. You can download it from here:

It provides great protection against any type of Malware, Spyware, Virus etc but it is not as good as other anti-virus programs in removing them.

So now the question is which one to choose ?
I highly recommend Avast FREE antivirus program. You could also use Norton DNS free service (Please visit my DNS page for more info on this) to increase your security and internet speed. Please note that Comodo also offers DNS service while installing the internet security but if you are using the Comodo Internet Security program then it is better not use their DNS and Try different DNS service like Norton, in case they have missed something!
Between other antivirus programs, I would recommend Microsoft Security Essentials now but make sure that you will use good anti-malware program with it like Comodo Pro-Active Security included with Comodo Firewall or consider purchasing Malwarebytes Pro version.
